Mary-Sue Masson specialises in observed comedy performance, and natural dialogue.

She has worked with many advertising agencies and TV networks including Comedy Central and The BBC (where she trained at Elstree Studios in Performance Direction). Because her career has spanned across advertising and broadcasting, she has a lot of experience in taking content and commercials from script to screen.

She’s probably best known for her Haribo Kids voices campaign, which she wrote and directed. The campaign has since gone Global. This was nominated at Cannes 2016 for best use of Recorded voice and has gone on to be remade in nine countries including The U.S.

Her short film ‘Who’s The Daddy’, has already been selected for BAFTA qualifying film festivals including the Galway Film Fleadh, Cambridge film festival, Best Comedy Harrogate 2020, Tweetfest audience award Winner, (as well as making a few ripples across the pond- Finalist Canada Shorts. And Finalist Jellyfest L.A.)

Mary-Sue is currently developing ‘Who’s The Daddy’ into comedy series and has written the pilot and series bible. She is working on her next short film, ‘Wake-Up’ to be filmed 2021.
