I’ve written and directed for many agencies and Broadcasters including The BBC where I trained at Elstree Studios in Performance Direction. I specialise in narrative comedy and improv. A good example is my original work for Haribo, where all the kids dialogue is totally unscripted. I’ve also made a couple of films, my Comedy Short Who’s The Daddy is currently streaming on Disney + Although I love to find the funny, I’ve also shot some serious stuff, notably THE CHAT. If it’s a great idea, I’m all over it. That’s enough from me – see below for a few reviews from some of the lovely folks I’ve worked with.

‘Mary-Sue is an absolute joy to collaborate with and is just as hilarious off-camera as she is behind it. She’s brimming with quick wit and an infectious sense of humour that kept the cast and crews laughing on set. She has a very rare ability to make even the smallest of narrative observations sing with her cheeky and razor-sharp comedic style. We gave her a fun idea, she made it an epically fun one. You can’t learn that kind of stuff, you’re born with it. 11/10 would work with again.’
‘Director Mary-Sue Masson demonstrates her gift for comedy, walking the line between sincerity and good-natured parody.’ (On Oddbox)
‘Mary-Sue is a collaborative, approachable Director, brimming with ideas on how to elevate the scripts and films she works on. I had a wonderful time producing for her and felt that we were partners from day one. As an ex-agency Creative Director, Mary-Sue’s natural rapport with agencies is a joy to watch and undoubtedly makes for a smoother production process. I hope to work with her again, not least because we had a good old laugh.’
